Free, Democratic Homeland – these were the most important goals of the Cursed Soldiers – the Polish independence underground operating in 1944-1963.

On Sunday, March 1, on the National Day of Remembrance of the Cursed Soldiers, the representatives of our school, Ms Katarzyna Bolko with her husband and sons – students of our school, Brian and Patryk, covered the distance of 1963 meters in the Wilczy Tropem run – this is a reference to the year in which the last Cursed Soldier, Józef, died Franczak, pseudonym “Lalek”. They were cheered by Mrs. Aneta Kozak, who also prepared photo reports for us.

The representatives of our school ran to honor the great courage and dedication (often life) of the Forgotten Soldiers for years who fought for the free Poland we have today. We owe them a democratic country, thanks to them the word “patriotism” is still alive, let us pay tribute to them!
