Grade VII has seven students this school year. The Polish language teaching program in Grade VIII covers ten thematic circles:

  1. Pictures from Poland’s past from the end of the 19th century to the present day
  2. Great Poles and their achievements.
  3. The beauty of Polish poetry.
  4. Writers writing about children and youth.
  5. Teen Life and Problems.
  6. History of Polish emigration in the United States.
  7. National holidays and anniversaries.
  8. From theater to film.
  9. Landscapes and monuments of Poland.
  10. Polish and Polish press.

In addition, students learn grammar and spelling, enrich their vocabulary, improve the Polish language through speaking, writing and reading exercises, and learn Poland’s history and geography.

Biography

A graduate of the Pedagogical University in Rzeszów, MA in Polish philology. She also completed postgraduate studies in history. In the years 1999-2013, a Polish language teacher in primary and lower secondary schools in Poland. From 2013 to 2020 she worked as a teacher at the Polish school named after Vincent Pallotti in New York. In September 2020, she started working at the Polish Supplementary School of Long Island.
